The first ever Annual Vernon Dragon Boat Festival took place on July 21-23 2006. It is now an annual event and all Teams are welcome to participate including men’s and women’s teams, co-ed teams and corporate teams.

The Annual Shuswap Dragonboat Festival takes place late June-early July at the Salmon Arm Wharf in Salmonarm BC. With 16 teams competing from across British Columbia, this annual event is a popular one with young and old. In past events there has also been a display of hand crafted wooden boats, cultural, artisan and recreational displays, as well as plenty of food, music and dance and even a dragon egg hunt for the kids.
