The Okanagan-Shuswap Region plays host to an impressive list of annual events, including Dragon Boat Festivals, outdoor theatre, the famous Annual Roots and Blues Music Festival in Salmon Arm, and the Thompson-Okanagan Wine Festivals. During the winter months the Reino Keski-Salmi Loppet attracts cross-country skiiers from across North America to Larch Hills X-Country Ski Area in February, and the Ice Wine Festival at Sun Peaks is an ever-popular event.
